Nelnet is seeking a skilled GenAI Platform Engineer to own the technical build and deployment of agentic AI solutions on the Gemini Enterprise Platform. You will translate backlog items into working agents, implement RAG pipelines, and integrate with client systems while ensuring quality and security standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, collaboration with Data and AgentOps teams, and delivery within a hybrid (in-office/remote) model. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building GenAI/agentic AI solutions in production.
• Experience with Gemini Enterprise Platform or Vertex AI preferred.
• Familiarity with RAG pipelines and grounding techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and relevant SDKs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants and GenAI applications.
• Implement RAG pipelines and grounding using platform capabilities.
• Build live API integrations to client systems (SIS, ERP, casework).
• Deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and participate in reviews.
