Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a Remote Full-time GenAI Platform Engineer to own the technical build and deployment of our GenAI solutions on Google Cloud. You will translate backlog items into working agentic solutions, design RAG pipelines, and integrate multi-agent orchestration for higher education clients.

The role emphasizes production-quality, secure architectures and collaboration with data and deployment engineers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/agentic AI solutions in production
• Direct experience with Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform or Vertex AI preferred
• Experience with RAG pipelines and multi-agent orchestration

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants and GenAI apps on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform
• Implement RAG pipelines and grounding using platform capabilities
• Integrate A2A protocol and multi-agent orchestration patterns
• Build live API and tool-calling integrations with client systems (SIS, ERP)
• Maintain solution architecture docs and reusable connectors
• Deliver high-quality, secure, production-ready solutions on schedule
