Nelnet is seeking a Remote GenAI Engineer to lead build and deployment of agentic AI solutions on Google Cloud. You will translate client needs into scalable Gemini-based apps, develop RAG pipelines, and integrate with client systems.

The role demands hands-on coding, model tuning, and architecture oversight to ensure secure, compliant deployments for higher education clients. The position supports a hybrid in-office/remote schedule with a focus on high-quality delivery and collaboration with

Qualifications

Hands-on experience building and deploying GenAI/agentic AI solutions in production.
Experience with large language models and prompt engineering or fine-tuning.
Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration patterns and A2A protocol.
Knowledge of cloud data, compute, and IAM concepts for AI workloads.
Google Cloud proficiency and related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy agentic assistants and GenAI apps on Gemini Enterprise Platform.
Implement RAG pipelines and grounding using platform capabilities.
Integrate Agent2Agent and multi-agent orchestration where needed.
Build live API integrations with client systems (SIS, ERP, casework).
Maintain solution architecture documentation and reusable connectors.
Ensure delivery quality, perform code reviews, and gate releases.
