Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services seeks a Remote Customer Service Rep for Gas & Electric to support residential and commercial utility customers in a full-time, long-term temporary role. Work from home with training, coaching, and clear service procedures.

Candidates must live within 40 miles of Canonsburg, PA and be able to report onsite when remote work is not possible; onsite commuting is required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Handle inbound utility customer calls related to billing, account service, payment arrangements, and general inquiries.
• Process customer service requests, account updates, service transfers, new connections, and disconnections.
• Document customer interactions accurately while navigating multiple systems during live calls.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of inbound customer calls in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner.
• Assist residential and commercial customers with billing questions, account inquiries, payment arrangements, and service-related requests.
• Process new service, transfers, disconnections, account updates, and other utility service transactions.
• Provide accurate information regarding natural gas and electric services, customer programs, company policies, and service procedures.
• Document customer interactions, account changes, and service requests accurately in company systems.
• Escalate complex issues, coordinate with internal departments, and support customers during outages or service interruptions.
