Job summary

Pavago is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to own GAAP financial reporting, month-end close, payroll, and core accounting operations across multiple client accounts in a fully remote role.

This role is not bookkeeping; you will manage journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, U.S. sales tax, and multi-entity consolidation, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting for leadership and audits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• GAAP financial reporting and accrual accounting.
• Experience across multiple entities/locations.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and payroll platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills: XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis.
• Strong English communication and remote-work capability.

Responsibilities

• Own accurate and timely month-end close processes.
• Prepare and review P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Manage journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee AP/AR, GL, and day-to-day accounting activities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and accounting policies.
• Manage payroll processing and employee setup in payroll systems.
• Handle U.S. sales tax filings and tax documentation.
• Support multi-entity accounting across locations/segments.
• Develop and maintain audit-ready workpapers and reports.
• Collaborate with leadership and clients to improve workflows.
