Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Developer (Edifecs) for a remote U.S.-based role with Veterans Affairs. The candidate will design and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring information systems meet end-user requirements and organization standards.

Requirements include 10+ years of testing experience, strong Agile/Scrum and SDLC knowledge, and proficiency with Edifecs and CI/CD tools. Security testing, test management, and cloud testing skills are also valued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in software testing.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum and SDLC.
• Ability to write and execute test cases and scripts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Jira and Bugzilla for defect tracking.
• Understanding of security testing practices.
• Experience with EDIFECS Edifecs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and procedures.
• Write test scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with Test Managers and Leads.
• Perform tests to ensure operation and defects are resolved.
• Document and communicate test results; provide progress reports.
• Support analysis of test results and issue resolution.
• Develop models of future configurations and daily test metrics.
