Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Full Stack Developer with Edifecs expertise for a Veterans Affairs (VA) remote assignment. You will design and execute comprehensive test strategies, ensure software quality, and collaborate across teams to deliver secure, compliant IT solutions.

Qualified candidates have 10+ years of professional experience, strong testing and DevOps familiarity, US citizenship, and ability to obtain a Public Trust (MBI).

Qualifications

• Extensive experience testing software systems and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Experience with EDIFECS and EDI transactions in healthcare or similar domains.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance (MBI).
• Proficient in both manual and automated testing within Agile environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of SDLC and test management practices.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure information systems meet standards and end-user requirements.
• Develop test plans, schedules, and approaches.
• Write test cases and scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs on test cases/scripts with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads.
• Perform and lead tests of software/IT systems to ensure proper operation and defect-free performance.
• Document and communicate test results and verify issues.
• Support analysis of test results and resolution of open issues.
• Document and work to resolve all complex problems.
• Report progress on problem resolution to management.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting.
• Occasionally perform other IT system engineering activities (requirements, design, installation, operation).
• Provide direction to employees according to policies and guidance.
• Measure whether objectives have been met.
• Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods for solutions.
• Contribute to completion of programs and projects.
• Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
• Represent organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues.
