Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Developer for Edifecs testing in a remote US-based role. The candidate will design and execute comprehensive test strategies, including manual and automated testing, with extensive SDLC and Agile exposure.

Expect collaboration across teams, strong risk-based testing, and a focus on quality in a 100% remote environment. The role requires 10+ years of professional experience, a BS in CS/IT/Engineering, and a Public Trust (MBI) clearance

Qualifications

• A proven track record of working on complex software projects and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and understanding of the SDLC.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, test scripts, and test plans.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with version control (Git, SVN).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling).
• Understanding of Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with defect tracking (JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Exposure to COTS products and security testing practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans to ensure information systems meet standards.
• Develop test schedules and approaches; write test cases and scripts.
• Perform and lead tests to ensure proper operation and defect freedom.
• Document, communicate, and analyze test results; support issue resolution.
• Provide direction to team and report progress; contribute to process improvements.
• Maintain test metrics and participate in test reviews and risk-based testing.
• Possibly perform other IT system engineering activities as needed.
