Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer (Edifecs) for a remote role inside the Veterans Affairs program. The candidate will develop and execute comprehensive test plans and automated tests to ensure information systems meet standards and end-user requirements. Strong knowledge of EDIFECS transactions and SDLC is essential.

The position requires 10+ years of professional experience, U.S. Citizenship, and ability to obtain a Public Trust (MBI) clearance.

Formación

• Experience administering and executing test plans and test cases for software/IT systems.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum SDLC and CI/CD workflows.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, scripts, and verification procedures.
• Knowledge of version control using Git and Subversion (SVN).
• Understanding of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
• Experience with Edifecs EDIFECS transactions (EDI X12).
• Ability to work independently and in teams with strong communication.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to ensure system quality.
• Create test schedules, test approaches, and test data requirements.
• Write and maintain test scripts and data sets for automated tests.
• Conduct walkthroughs with stakeholders and project teams.
• Lead software/IT system tests to ensure defect-free operation.
• Verify results using defined criteria and environments.
• Document and communicate test outcomes and issue statuses.
• Support issue resolution and trend analysis for root cause.
• Create metrics and daily reporting on testing progress.
• Assist with other IT system engineering activities as needed.
• Provide direction and guidance to team members per policies.
