Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a seasoned Full Stack Developer (MUMPS) to support testing and QA for mission-critical healthcare applications in a MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environment. This 100% remote, U.S.-based role requires collaboration with VA stakeholders and strict adherence to healthcare interoperability standards.

You will lead test planning, execution, and validation across HL7, FHIR, and EDI transactions, ensuring data integrity and system reliability for legacy healthcare systems.

Qualifications

• Experience testing healthcare, government, or other regulated environments
• Experience testing enterprise applications in MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environments
• Ability to develop detailed test plans, scenarios, scripts, and cases
• Experience validating data integrity and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, HIPAA)

Responsibilities

• Support testing and QA activities for healthcare applications in MUMPS/Cache
• Support modernization and production support for legacy healthcare systems
• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts
• Validate software changes and system upgrades
• Coordinate testing across functional, integration, and UAT
• Verify data integrity across legacy systems and interfaces
• Test HL7, FHIR, EDI transactions and external partnerships
• Lead testing efforts and mentor junior testers
• Communicate testing metrics and risk status
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, product owners, and users
