Job summary
Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Full Stack Developer (MUMPS) to support testing and QA for mission-critical healthcare apps operating in MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environments. This remote, full-time role supports the Veterans Affairs department and demands experience with HL7, FHIR, and EDI standards.
The candidate will develop test plans, execute tests, validate data integrity, and coordinate with developers, BAs, and end users. U.S.
Qualifications
- Experience testing enterprise healthcare apps in regulated environments.
- Knowledge of MUMPS/InterSystems Cache testing and HL7/FHIR/EDI standards.
- Ability to develop detailed test plans, scenarios, scripts, and cases.
- Experience validating data integrity and healthcare workflows.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
Responsibilities
- Support testing and QA for mission-critical healthcare apps in MUMPS/Cache.
- Develop and execute test plans, cases, scripts, and procedures.
- Validate software enhancements, releases, and upgrades.
- Coordinate testing across functional, integration, and UAT.
- Analyze logs and defects to identify root causes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate requirements.
- Create test data and environments for healthcare workflows.
- Conduct manual and automated testing where applicable.
- Track testing metrics, defects, and risks.
- Validate HL7/FHIR/EDI transactions and interfaces.
