Job summary

Pathward is seeking a senior leader to run end-to-end fraud operations, owning alert, investigation, and intelligence workstreams. You will manage a peer leadership team, set investigative standards, and partner with Governance, Strategy, and QA to drive detections and controls.

The role requires deep fraud knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to deliver executive-ready reporting. Hybrid/remote options with a strong benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or experience
• Professional certifications such as CFE/CAMS preferred
• Typically 10+ years in fraud, investigations, or financial crimes with leadership experience
• Experience owning fraud operations, Level 2 investigations, and fraud intelligence in regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of fraud typologies, investigations, and alerting platforms

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end fraud lifecycle including alerts, investigations, and intelligence
• Manage operations rhythm: alert volumes, queue health, SLA, and risk response
• Direct managers of Fraud Alert Operations and Fraud Investigations
• Set Level 2 investigative standards and ensure complete, defensible investigations
• Own fraud intelligence, typology development, and detection strategy feedback
• Ensure timely SAR/CTR referrals and escalation for sensitive cases
• Report KPIs/KRIs to SVP and governance forums
• Collaborate on QA/QC, policy changes, and control improvements
• Mentor and develop management and analyst talent; possibly manage budget
• Represent fraud operations in governance, audits, and OCC support
• Adhere to and promote Pathward’s values and standards
