Job summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to fill the position of a full-time Fraud Analytics & Loss Prevention Assistant Manager. This role leads day-to-day fraud prevention and investigation activities, serving as a key operational leader within the function and backup to the Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education, certifications, banking experience, fraud investigations, analytics, or loss prevention may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of fraud, financial crimes, loss prevention, risk management, or related banking experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities preferred.
• Strong knowledge of common fraud schemes affecting financial institutions (check, ACH, wire, account takeover, identity theft, BEC, etc.).
• Experience managing complex investigations and responding to active fraud events.
• Working knowledge of BSA/AML requirements and relationship between fraud investigations and SARs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fraud investigations, alerts, referrals, and fraud-related incidents with timely resolution and proper documentation.
• Prioritize and manage team workloads based on risk exposure, customer impact, and potential loss.
• Review complex fraud cases and provide investigative guidance as escalation point.
• Coordinate fraud response efforts, analyze trends and loss data, and recommend control improvements.
• Lead and develop Fraud Analytics & Loss Prevention staff and support staffing and performance management.
