Job summary

InfluxData is seeking a stellar Director of Finance to lead FP&A and shape the company’s financial strategy. Reporting to the CFO, you will own budgeting, forecasting, and analytics, partnering with Engineering and Sales to optimize cloud spend and revenue quality.

This remote-first role supports a global team and requires strategic acumen and hands-on execution. You will build scalable financial models, develop KPI dashboards, and present insights to the Board.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A and Finance Operations.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud pricing models (AWS, GCP, Azure) and how they impact margins.
• Ability to build accurate, scalable financial models and ensure data integrity.
• Experience applying AI-driven insights to forecasting, reporting and automation.
• Excellent communication to translate complex data for non-finance stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with ability to partner with Sales and leadership teams

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes with data-driven insights.
• Act as trusted advisor to leadership, explaining the 'why' behind numbers.
• Oversee FinOps and cloud spend, optimize vendor terms and gross margin.
• Partner with Sales on deal strategy, pricing, incentives, and governance.
• Develop dashboards tracking core KPIs and unit economics for execs.
