Job summary

SafelyYou is seeking a Director of FP&A to own and shape the financial planning function during a pivotal growth phase. You will collaborate with the CEO, COO, and department heads to ensure clarity, improve forecasting, and drive resource allocation across SaaS and hardware lines.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in FP&A, strong SaaS metrics experience, and a startup mindset capable of building processes from scratch in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Experience in a SaaS business with recurring revenue metrics (ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, gross margin).
• Experience in a hardware or physical product environment with an understanding of COGS, installation economics, and inventory dynamics.
• Startup or high-growth experience; ability to build processes from scratch and prioritize ruthlessly.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual and mid-year budget processes with ownership by cost center, headcount, product line, and customer type.
• Develop a long-range financial plan linking strategy to operating assumptions.
• Set sales and revenue targets by product for contracted and utilization models.
• Support headcount planning with HR and Operations; model resource allocation and trade-offs.
• Build robust pipeline and forecasting models; provide visibility into volume, timing, and resource needs.
• Maintain risk and opportunity tracker; surface variances before they hit actuals.
• Create SaaS and hardware forecasting models (ARR, NRR, churn, inventory deployment).
• Own monthly management reporting package and board decks; ensure clean close and validated views.
• Establish a single source of truth for metrics; build dashboards for real-time leadership visibility.
• Assess FP&A tech landscape; drive automation and AI-enabled tooling.
• Translate variances into root-cause insights with actionable recommendations.
• Demonstrate proactive communication and collaboration to align teams.
