Job summary

The Marguerite Casey Foundation is seeking a remote Accountant. You will ensure the Foundation's financial integrity by processing accounts payable and preparing monthly reconciliations.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably with non-profits. The role requires strong knowledge of GAAP and excellent communication skills.

The position offers flexibility with occasional travel for staff retreats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with at least 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with accounting for private foundations or non-profits is valued.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to apply principles to transactions.

Responsibilities

• Record and process all accounts payable including employee expense reimbursements.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and journal entries for the month-end close.
• Ensure that all internal controls are strictly adhered to.
