Job summary

Go Fractional is seeking a Fractional Accountant to support the President of the Board on financial operations for a nonprofit organization. This mostly remote, contract role emphasizes accurate records, timely reporting, audits, and compliance.

CPA preferred and QuickBooks Online expertise are highly valued. Responsibilities include monthly close, board-ready reports, tax filings, and coordination of charitable distributions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with financial reporting, reconciliations and month-/year-end closes.
• Nonprofit accounting background strongly preferred and GAAP knowledge required.
• CPA certification preferred; familiarity with board reporting and audits is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and oversee month-end close and reconciliations.
• Prepare board materials and financial statements for governance review.
• Support annual audits and federal/state tax filings and related documentation.
• Process vendor invoices, manage cash disbursements, and monitor internal controls.
• Coordinate annual charitable distributions and 1099-NEC filings as needed.
• Assist with investment reporting and depreciation calculations.
