Job summary

DeepHealth is seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer for the Viewer to own technical solution design, configure reader workflows, and coach implementation teams across U.S. customers.

You will lead technical discovery (HL7, DICOM), resolve issues, convert recurring needs into standard workflows, and support AI-enabled workflows as they are released, reporting to the Service Engineering Lead.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, Information Systems or related field (required).
• 8+ years in healthcare IT, medical imaging or clinical systems (required).
• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role for PACS or enterprise imaging (required).
• In-depth knowledge of DICOM and HL7 v2 (required).
• Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of diagnostic/viewers (required).
• Strong understanding of radiology clinical workflow (required).
• Cloud hosting, networking, and SSO knowledge (required).
• Experience communicating technical decisions to radiologists and IT leaders (required).
• Imaging informatics credentials preferred; AI in radiology preferred.
• FDA/ISO/IEC regulatory familiarity and ITIL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own technical design and configuration of the Viewer for customers, mapping clinical workflows to product settings.
• Lead technical discovery covering HL7 and DICOM data flows, integrations, migration data, and security.
• Coach implementation teams and publish configuration standards and deployment playbooks.
• Serve as customer-facing technical lead during go-lives, hypercare and escalations.
• Provide escalation support for Viewer issues, including root cause analysis with engineering (20–30% time).
• Convert recurring needs into standardized workflows and product requirements.
• Escalate and triage engineering issues, track status with engineering and close the loop with customers.
• Configure and support AI-enabled workflows as released, coordinating rollout and site readiness.
• Validate releases/hotfixes against customer configurations before/after deployment.
• Support site reliability for assigned accounts and drive reliability improvements.
