Job summary

Hippocratic AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to own AI deployments within health systems, embedding with customers to design, launch, and operate production conversational AI agents that handle real clinical workflows.

You will build end-to-end RAG pipelines grounded in customer data, integrate with EHRs and data tools, and deliver production-grade solutions while ensuring safety, reliability, and measurable improvements in clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/SE or related field.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering with strong Python and production-grade experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain/LangSmith) and modern LLM development patterns.
• Deep expertise in LLM techniques including RAG, prompt engineering, tool calling, LLM-as-judge.
• Experience building integrations with APIs, databases, or enterprise systems; comfort with async patterns and reliability engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement RAG pipelines grounded in customer clinical data.
• Build tool-calling and MCP architectures for secure interactions with customer systems (EHRs, data warehouses).
• Develop production Python code using LangChain, LangSmith, and modern AI frameworks.
• Execute end-to-end deployments including infrastructure setup, testing, go-live, and monitoring.
• Monitor and own production systems; troubleshoot with customers and implement fixes.
• Partner with customers as technical expert to explain architecture and build confidence.
