Job summary

DeepHealth is seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer, HL7 Integration to help customers adopt the Diagnostic Suite by integrating with clinical systems. You will own HL7 and DICOM interfaces, lead technical discovery, and coach implementation teams while driving standardization of integrations across RIS, PACS, EHR and viewer workflows.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, Information Systems or a related field (required).
• Experience: 8+ years in healthcare IT integration or clinical systems (required).
• Experience: 5+ years HL7 v2.x interface design and support in a customer-facing role (required).
• Expert-level experience with at least one integration engine; Mirth Connect / NextGen Connect preferred (required).
• Strong understanding of radiology order-to-result workflow across RIS, PACS, modality worklist, reporting and EHR (required).
• Working knowledge of DICOM and mapping HL7 order data to DICOM attributes (required).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL and message/log analysis (required).
• Experience working with customer IT, interface analysts and clinical stakeholders, including escalations (required).
• Preferred: FHIR R4 and IHE profiles; CIIP or PARCA; FDA 21 CFR 820/ISO 13485; ITIL (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own integration solution design for assigned customers, mapping radiology workflow to HL7 and DICOM interface configuration.
• Lead integration technical discovery with customers and implementation teams, covering interfaces and data needs.
• Build, configure and validate interfaces in the integration engine (Mirth Connect / NextGen Connect).
• Publish integration playbooks and baselines; adopt learnings into customer configurations.
• Serve as customer-facing technical lead for go-lives, hypercare and escalations.
• Provide escalation support for HL7 and integration issues during implementation.
• Establish change control for site-specific interface customizations with documentation and rollback plans.
• Convert recurring interface needs into standard, configurable product capabilities.
