Job summary

IBT, Inc. seeks a Fluid Power Sales Specialist to plan and execute targeted marketing and sales strategies. The role involves joint sales calls, technical pre/post-sales support, and training field staff across MRO and OEM accounts.

You will leverage hands-on fluid power knowledge to assist customers with product selection, application, and troubleshooting, traveling up to 75% from Merriam, KS headquarters.

Qualifications

• Strong sales experience in industrial distribution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift weights up to 50 pounds.
• 1-3 years of experience with Industrial Process Pumps, Automatic Lubrication Systems, and Pneumatic Tools.
• Fluid power certification is a plus; ability to become IFPS Fluid Power certified.

Responsibilities

• Make joint sales calls to MRO and OEM accounts with other sales staff.
• Develop, coordinate, teach and evaluate training tools for field employees to resolve customer needs.
• Drive customer success in product application, selection, and troubleshooting over the phone and in person.
• Coordinate fluid power initiatives with IBT branch locations within a geographic territory.
• Identify, design, and implement fluid power system solutions at end-user accounts.
• Promote eComm, UpTime, and other digital tools.
• Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and contact existing clients.
