Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Fleet/Asset Manager to plan, organize, and direct asset acquisition, servicing, and disposal across a U.S. region. You will coordinate with vendors and internal teams to maintain safe, reliable equipment aligned with business goals.

The role requires strong budget management, data analysis, and stakeholder communication to optimize fleet operations and drive continuous improvement while working remotely within the United States.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to operate in unstructured environments with limited supervision.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and directions.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills across levels.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and complete many tasks under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage operating and capital budgets to hit cost-per-mile and fleet targets.
• Collaborate with departments to align fleet execution with business objectives.
• Communicate with leadership, operations, vendors, and support teams to resolve fleet issues.
• Identify underutilized assets and redeploy or retire as needed.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, ANSI, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with contracted call centers for repairs and approvals.
• Monitor asset performance and drive improvements with KPIs.
• Track warranties and recalls for cost recovery.
