Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee and optimize our nationwide fleet operations from a remote U.S. base. You will drive cost efficiency, asset utilization, and supplier performance across multiple units, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

The role requires hands-on budgeting, data analysis, and strong collaboration with operations, vendors, and leadership to deliver reliable, cost-effective mobility solutions.

Qualifications

• Three years Fleet Management/Industry Experience supervising a medium size Fleet Organization.
• College Degree or 5 years business experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage operating expense and capital budgets to achieve cost-per-mile targets and utilization goals.
• Partner with vehicle- and equipment-using departments to align fleet needs with business objectives.
• Collaborate with leadership, operations management, vendors, and support teams to address fleet issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify and redeploy underutilized fleet assets and decide on retirement or disposal as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules, DOT and ANSI inspections, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and authorize repair and maintenance requests through supplier networks and monitor vendor performance.
• Monitor fleet asset performance and drive improvements in cost, reliability, and safety.
