Affirm is a remote-first company hiring in the United States, including California. We seek a senior software leader to drive strategy and own large-scale systems with robust APIs.

Expect collaboration across Product, Analytics, Design, Legal, and Accounting to advance card loan attribution and lifecycle management. You’ll mentor engineers, promote best practices, and work on cloud-native stacks using Python/Kotlin, Docker, Kubernetes, and SQL/NoSQL databases.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of software development or engineering with strong system design knowledge.
• Proven leadership that grows teams and fosters continuous learning.
• Excellent communication for sharing complex ideas with diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative mindset.
• Experience with Python, Kotlin, or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, web frameworks, and RESTful API development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.

Responsabilidades

• Drive technical strategy by planning, prioritizing, and executing projects aligned with product and business goals.
• Lead end-to-end system design and development of large-scale, high-availability services with robust APIs and data models.
• Collaborate with Product, Analytics, Design, Legal, and Accounting to define requirements for our card loan attribution and lifecycle strategy.
• Ensure system health and performance by diagnosing complex issues, optimizing code, and building scalable solutions.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and promote best practices through code reviews.
