Job summary

Affirm is seeking a seasoned software engineering leader for a remote-first role in the United States. You will drive technical strategy, oversee end-to-end system design of high-availability services, and collaborate across Product, Analytics, Design, Legal, and Accounting to shape card loan attribution and lifecycle strategies.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead design reviews, and advocate best practices while delivering robust APIs and scalable data models for micro-service

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development or engineering with system design expertise.
• Motivated leader, fostering team growth and continuous learning.
• Excellent communicator able to share complex ideas with diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in Python or Kotlin; experience with cloud platforms and containers.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and containerization using Docker/Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of database systems (SQL/NoSQL), web frameworks, and RESTful API development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
