Job summary

Smartcat is seeking a proven DevOps/SRE leader to manage global engineering squads, driving availability, scalability, and reliability of production and staging environments. You will advocate for automated CI/CD practices, IaC, and resilient deployment strategies to reduce lead times and prevent release issues.

The role requires hands-on expertise across AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, and observability tools, with a focus on mentoring teams across multiple regions while aligning with business

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading a team in a fast-growing multinational IT business.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps and SRE, maintaining high-RPS distributed products.
• Data-driven decision making with metrics to justify decisions.
• Ability to build relationships across teams and act as a bridge with the environment.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and deployment strategies.
• Experience in secure development environments and cloud-native applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead DevOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure availability, scalability, and reliability of staging and production environments.
• Enforce best SRE and DevOps practices, CI/CD testing and reviews to eliminate release errors.
• Maintain 99.9% uptime for staging environments and 99.99% product availability.
• Accelerate CI/CD pipelines and environments to reduce lead times.
• Build and mentor an engineering team across regions and time zones, shaping hiring and career development.
