Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Head of KYC in a remote-friendly role within Central Compliance. You will own the global KYC strategy across Coinbase regulated entities, leading a team of professionals, and partnering with multiple business lines to scale compliance with evolving regulations.

You will drive policy, process design, and reporting, shaping scalable KYC solutions while balancing regulatory requirements with business velocity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing and implementing KYC programs at financial institutions.
• Deep knowledge of global AML, CTF and sanctions regulations and how they apply across jurisdictions.
• Proven track record building and scaling global KYC programs from design to execution.
• Senior escalation experience on onboarding matters with regulators and leadership.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into scalable KYC design across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end strategic direction of Coinbase's Global KYC program, including policy development and enterprise-wide process design.
• Lead a team of KYC professionals across second-line compliance ensuring consistent execution across jurisdictions.
• Drive KYC issue management, corrective actions, and systemic enhancements globally.
• Partner with Sales, Coverage, Account Management, Customer Experience, Product, and Engineering to implement KYC initiatives for new launches.
• Serve as the Directly Responsible Individual for regulatory reporting and executive KPI reporting.
• Shape interpretation and implementation of global KYC requirements with Legal and Compliance, balancing regulatory needs with business velocity.
