Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Director of Product Management for Security Products to shape the next wave of the Cribl Detect platform and beyond. You will own strategy, write PRDs, and lead cross-functional teams from customer discovery to launch, prioritizing areas with the greatest impact and potential for Cribl to win in security markets.

You will collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales, and you’ll evaluate new security domains, build compelling business cases, and guide investment decisions

Qualifications

• 10+ years in product management or closely related role, with 5+ years building security products.
• Deep understanding of security operations - SIEM, detection engineering, incident response, and how SOC teams work day to day.
• Hands-on product experience in security domains (SOAR, ITDR/UEBA, AI or agentic security, or threat detection).
• Track record of taking a product from 0 to 1 from problem discovery to paid usage.
• Portfolio-level thinking with market evaluation and business-case reasoning.
• Leadership experience across product, engineering, marketing, and sales.
• Technical depth to engage with engineers on data architectures and detection logic.
• Strong written communication for strategy docs and PRDs.
• Good judgment under uncertainty; clear decision making in writing.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategy for the next wave of security products, including market analysis and customer discovery.
• Build business cases for each area: problem, market, Cribl win conditions, and build/partner/buy options.
• Lead execution: define product, write requirements, set metrics, and guide engineering from concept to launch.
• Ensure Cribl Detect remains a unified platform with new capabilities.
• Engage with CISOs, SOC managers, detection engineers, and analysts to validate direction.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and technology partners on positioning, packaging, and launch.
• Grow the team by hiring and mentoring product managers as funds allow.
• Represent Cribl security externally with customers, analysts, and at industry events.
