Job summary

Seamless is seeking a strategic Corporate Counsel – Commercial, Privacy & Data to protect the business, accelerate deals, and scale legal practices. You will partner with the COO and leaders across Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, Security, IT, and People, coordinating with outside counsel on specialized matters.

You will own high-impact work across commercial contracting, SaaS transactions, global privacy, product counseling, and governance, translating complex requirements into practical

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
• 3–5+ years of relevant legal experience, with 1–2 years in-house at a SaaS or tech company preferred.
• Deep experience in SaaS commercial law, data privacy, and basic employment law.
• Deep knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and global privacy laws.
• Familiarity with SaaS procurement models, SOC 2, and vendor security reviews.
• Experience with public APIs and open-access data terms.
• Exposure to CLM software and coordinating with outside counsel.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and SaaS contract negotiations to protect IP and manage liability.
• Develop internal redline standards, templates, and negotiation playbooks.
• Improve contract lifecycle management in partnership with Sales and Finance.
• Review vendor agreements and assess third-party risk.
• Advise Product, Engineering, Sales, and other teams on legal considerations for AI, APIs, and data use.
