Job summary

EEI is seeking a Commissioning Project Manager to lead commissioning, QA, and performance testing for data centers, healthcare facilities, and other high-reliability environments. You will oversee budgets, schedules, and client relationships, driving project success and engineering excellence.

The role requires guiding teams through planning, design review, testing, and turnover, while mentoring junior staff and delivering high-quality outcomes in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Sciences, or related field.
• 5+ years in commissioning, PM, building systems, or high-reliability environments.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, resources, and client relationships.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning projects through planning, design, construction, testing, and closeout.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and overall project performance.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, contractors, design teams, and project stakeholders.
• Lead commissioning activities including startup verification, functional performance testing, integrated systems testing, and troubleshooting.
• Review design documents, specifications, submittals, and sequences of operation to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Identify project risks, manage issues proactively, and develop effective solutions that keep projects moving forward.
• Mentor and support junior commissioning staff while contributing to EEI's culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
