Eichleay, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer for a fully remote role. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop fire protection and life-safety design packages for industrial facilities, applying NFPA, IBC/IFC, and local code requirements.

The position emphasizes independent completion of defined fire protection scopes while coordinating across disciplines, with occasional in-person collaboration and up to 10% travel across the Western US.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems with a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire protection and life safety design deliverables for industrial facilities, including studies, calculations, drawings, and construction packages.
• Evaluate fire hazards and develop code-compliant design solutions per NFPA, IBC/IFC, and local AHJ requirements.
• Design and review fire suppression systems; perform hydraulic calculations and assess water supply.
• Coordinate fire protection with process, mechanical, piping, civil, structural, architectural, and I&E disciplines.
• Support site walks, design reviews, constructability reviews, and construction activities including RFIs and testing.
