Job summary

Gigantes Group is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our remote US team. You will lead design, hydraulics, code consulting, and performance-based approaches on high-profile projects, coordinating with MEP and structural disciplines while maintaining client relations.

The role requires 10+ years in fire protection, NFPA/IBC knowledge, proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit, and the ability to manage multiple projects from a remote location across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of fire protection experience including design, code consulting, and project management.
• Deep knowledge of NFPA and IBC; proficient in performance-based design methods.
• Proficient with hydraulic calculation software, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong communication, client-focused, and able to lead project teams remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, layout, and specification of fire protection systems including suppression, alarm, detection, and smoke control.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, assess risks, and tailor strategies to client needs.
• Provide performance-based design and engineering analyses for complex requirements.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA, IBC, and local regulations; interface with authorities.
• Offer code consulting and guidance on compliant, alternative solutions when needed.
• Manage multiple projects remotely, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Serve as primary client contact, communicating objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with MEP and structural disciplines.
