Job summary

Workiva, Inc. offers a Financial Reporting Intern role supporting the Professional Services team with XBRL tagging and SEC reporting file creation for public companies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy before filing deadlines.

You will gain exposure to regulatory reporting, learn the core aspects of the role, and support managers and directors while contributing to QA testing and special projects on new mandates.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accounting degree program; GPA 3.2+ preferred.
• Strong Excel, Word, Google Docs skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Independent worker with initiative and reliability.
• High attention to detail and thorough follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement regulatory reporting files in various taxonomies for public companies using industry-leading software.
• Apply XBRL tagging information to financial statements and statement footnotes.
• Tie-out XBRL tagging information within financial statements and footnotes to ensure accuracy prior to filing deadline.
• Support Professional Services Managers and Directors while learning core aspects of each position.
• Test features for Quality Assurance and work on special projects such as researching new mandates and creating XBRL tagging examples.
