Job summary

Workiva Inc. is seeking an SEC Reporting Consultant for a remote US-based role. You will apply accounting acumen to projects, model XBRL mappings, tag statements, and ensure compliance with SEC and GAAP standards.

Ideal candidates have a CPA or CIA, 2+ years in financial reporting, and familiarity with XBRL taxonomy structures, with opportunities to collaborate across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Learning teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 2+ years in financial reporting or CPA firm experience preferred.
• CPA or CIA certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC/SEDAR reporting.
• Experience interpreting taxonomy structures for XBRL mappings.

Responsibilities

• Model XBRL mappings and taxonomy concepts for filings.
• Tag values in financial statements and notes to required concepts.
• Determine if amounts are point in time or over a period.
• Stay current with accounting standards and XBRL requirements.
• Collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Learning teams.
