Job summary

Workiva Inc. is offering a Financial Reporting Intern role primarily as a remote opportunity in the United States.

The position supports the Professional Services team by applying XBRL tagging to documents and creating SEC reporting files for public companies, ensuring accuracy before deadlines. You will learn core aspects of the role while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentors, with opportunities to work in hybrid capacity if located near an office hub.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program in Accounting.
• GPA of 3.2+ preferred.
• Technically savvy with spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
• Strong communication and leadership skills demonstrated through leadership roles in school or community.
• Professional, outgoing, energetic personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Attention to detail and follow-through are required.
• Experience using Excel, Word, Google Docs.

• Apply XBRL tagging information to financial statements and statement footnotes.
• Tie-out XBRL tagging information within financial statements and statement footnotes to ensure accuracy prior to filing deadline.
• Support Professional Services Managers, and Directors while learning the core aspects of each position.
• Test features for Quality Assurance purposes and work with teams on special projects such as researching new mandates and creating XBRL tagging examples.

What You’ll Need

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program in Accounting.
• GPA of 3.2+ preferred.
