Job summary

Rise Collective is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee accounting for a growing portfolio of professional service businesses. You will report to the CFO, manage day-to-day accounting, strengthen controls, and scale finance operations as the organization grows through expansion and acquisitions.

In this remote role (US/Canada), you will lead the close, ensure accurate reporting, and partner with leaders to drive financial performance and oversight across multiple entities within the Rise

Qualifications

• Construction accounting experience with job costing, WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years managing an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidated financial statements.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (ideally Sage Intacct).

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities.
• Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements and schedules.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting across units.
• Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash.
• Design and monitor internal controls; ensure compliance.
• Lead and mentor accounting staff; develop talent.
• Identify and drive ERP and process improvements.
• Provide financial insights to leadership and assist with acquisitions.
