Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our National Security Sector in a fully remote US-based role. You will support financial reporting, variance analysis, and budgeting for large programs with diverse task orders, collaborating with multiple back-office teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years in Finance, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with CAS, FAR, and GAAP concepts. U.S. citizenship and potential DoD clearance are considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years in Finance (Program Finance/Project Control/FP&A).
• 2–5 years in Finance role with Government contracting concepts (CAS, FAR, GAAP).
• Excel proficiency with pivot tables and formulas (advanced a plus).
• Strong verbal and written communication; self-motivated team contributor.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate financial reporting deliverables including program trend analysis and variance against budget.
• Support Senior Financial Analyst in managing large programs with multiple task orders and budgets.
• Provide analysis of key program drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare data and analysis to support program reviews and month-end close processes.
• Monitor subcontracting spending and assist with voucher approvals.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and back-office teams to support operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
