Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Financial Analyst to support its National Security Sector. The role is fully remote within the United States, with occasional visits to Fairfax, VA. You will assist in timely financial reporting, variance analyses, and quarterly forecasts for multi-task orders.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years in finance, understanding of CAS, FAR and GAAP, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate clearly. DoD clearance or citizenship may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years in a finance role.
• Foundational understanding of CAS, FAR, and GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, formulas).
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Familiarity with contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Type).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reporting deliverables and variance analyses.
• Support forecasting and annual budgets for large programs.
• Analyze key program drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare data for program reviews.
• Support month-end close activities, including cost accruals and revenue recognition.
• Monitor subcontracting spending and assist with voucher approvals.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and back-office teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
