Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our National Security Sector in a fully remote US role. The position involves financial reporting, forecasting, and close processes for large programs with tight collaboration across Accounting, Contracts, and Procurement teams.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in finance (Program Finance, Project Control or FP&A), strong Excel skills, and familiarity with CAS, FAR and GAAP. U.S. citizenship and potential DoD clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; 2–5 years in Finance role (Program Finance, Project Control or Financial Planning and Analysis)
• Foundational understanding of Government contracting concepts (CAS, FAR, GAAP)
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated team contributor willing to learn and grow
• Familiarity with contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Type) is helpful
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance if required

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reporting deliverables including program trend analysis and variance analysis
• Support forecasting, budgets, and month-end close processes
• Analyze key program drivers, risks, and opportunities
• Prepare data for program operational reviews
• Monitor subcontracting spending and assist with voucher approvals
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and back-office teams
