Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the National Security Sector. This fully remote role within the United States involves regular visits to the Fairfax, VA office and collaboration withAccounting, Contracts, and Procurement teams.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years in Finance (Program Finance, Project Control, FP&A) with knowledge of CAS/FAR/GAAP. Proficiency in Excel is essential; DoD clearance may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years of experience in finance.
• Foundational understanding of Government contracting concepts (CAS, FAR, GAAP).
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables and formulas); strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reporting deliverables including program trend analysis and variance against budget.
• Support forecasting, annual budgets, and month-end close processes.
• Analyze program drivers, risks, and opportunities; support operational reviews.
