Job summary

EdOps is seeking a School Finance Manager to serve as an outsourced CFO for a portfolio of 5-8 schools. You will advise school leaders and boards on financial policy, forecasting, and long-term planning while coordinating with EdOps teams to deliver high-quality finance support across a nationwide client base.

You will build relationships with school leaders, proactively solve client problems, and contribute to product and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience leading school finance or equivalent finance function.
• Strong communication with school leaders and boards.
• Ability to analyze financial data and translate into strategy.
• Familiarity with audits and compliance reporting for education clients.

Responsibilities

• Act as outsourced CFO for a portfolio of 5-8 schools with strategic financial guidance.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support satisfaction and retention.
• Produce forward-looking financial forecasts from accounting data and schedules.
• Coordinate with internal EdOps teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop annual operating and grant budgets aligned with school goals.
• Present finance strategy to school boards and leadership.
• Identify internal control improvements and share best practices.
• Collaborate with Finance Specialists to deliver exceptional service.
• Ensure deliverables meet EdOps quality standards and profitability.
