EdOps is seeking a School Finance Specialist to bring accounting and analytical skills to the social sector, supporting schools with daily operations and strategic data-driven decisions.

You will oversee full-cycle accounting, regulatory compliance, and annual audits, partnering with the Finance Team Manager. Location is flexible, with a strong focus on client service and outcomes for students.

Qualifications

• Direct work experience and/or degree in finance or accounting or related field.
• Strong Excel skills and financial data analysis.
• Ability to manage full-cycle accounting and compliance for multiple schools.
• Experience with grant administration and regulatory reporting is a plus.
• Excellent communication and client service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as outsourced accountant and financial advisor for a portfolio of schools.
• Oversee day-to-day full-cycle accounting and compliance (AP, payroll, grants, regulatory).
• Close books monthly/quarterly/annually and prepare statements.
• Project manage annual fiscal audits and 990 preparation with field team support.
• Analyze and model business issues to drive decisions.
