Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Finance Manager for AR, IA, MO to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for a multi‑unit finance pod. The role partners with the Finance Director to provide strategic financial guidance and ensure effective stewardship of resources.

This remote position, located in the USA Great Plains Division, requires strong collaboration across conservation, philanthropy, and operations teams, with up to 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field with 4 years of related experience.
• Minimum of 2 years experience using Workday or similar HRIS/ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to be a strategic finance partner and influence decision‑making.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and year‑end close for a finance pod in partnership with the Finance Director.
• Provide financial analysis, modeling, and insights to inform planning and resource allocation.
• Maintain data integrity, systems, processes, and internal controls across finance functions.
• Support implementation of financial strategies and process improvements.
• Approve accounts receivable and accounts payable in coordination with accounting staff.
