Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Field Technician C to install, maintain and support networking and telecommunication equipment for FAA programs across customer sites in the Albuquerque metro area.

You will travel daily within the assigned area, work independently with little supervision, document tasks, and coordinate with NOCC, SAC, and the Helpdesk to resolve field issues. Security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 2+ years related experience.
• Experience with fiber, Carrier Ethernet, multiplexes, DACS, routers/switches and network topology.
• Experience with power testing (AC/DC) and 24VDC/48VDC power supplies.
• Possession of valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for FAA programs supported by L3Harris.
• Install, repair, configure, test and perform preventative maintenance on networking equipment at customer locations.
• Work remotely in scheduled and on-call capacity within the assigned area and occasionally travel to remote sites.
• Read and follow equipment drawings and task orders, document activities, and coordinate with NOCC, SAC and Helpdesk.
