Job summary

COMTECH TELECOMMUNICATIONS is seeking a Manager, Field Systems Engineering to lead on-site systems engineering, installation, integration, verification, and testing for our satellite IP solutions. The role includes deployment, commissioning, monitoring, and on-call support to ensure reliable customer networks.

The candidate should have deep IP networking, satellite communications, and lab/testing experience, with leadership and cross-team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Communications Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking and satellite communications.
• Experience with verification, testing, and field deployments.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert systems engineering, installation, and troubleshooting for satellite IP hardware/software.
• Serve as escalation point and coordinate with engineering, TAC and support teams.
• Lead hardware/software verification, testing, and documentation in lab environments.
• Support customers in network design, installation, and debugging with sales teams.
• Maintain and organize the engineering lab and lab infrastructure.
• Deliver training and knowledge transfer to support teams.
