Job summary

COMTECH TELECOMMUNICATIONS seeks a Manager, Field Systems Engineering to provide technical leadership for on-site systems engineering, installation, integration, verification, and testing of satellite IP hardware and software solutions. The role covers deployment, commissioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting customer networks to ensure reliable performance, with on-call support as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as stated in Education.
• 7-10 years of related work experience.
• Experience in customer-facing technical support or field engineering is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert systems engineering, installation, integration, verification, testing, and troubleshooting support.
• Travel to customer sites for network/hub installation, audits, debugging, training, and other technical support activities.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex hardware and software issues.
• Lead hardware and software verification and testing in the engineering lab.
• Provide technical expertise in customer meetings, network design, integration, installation, debugging, and professional services.
• Maintain the engineering lab, including equipment inventory and configurations.
