Job summary

SHI International Corp. in the United States seeks a Field Solutions Engineer - Public Sector to partner with large customers in the SLED space, uncover opportunities, and build trusted relationships with the customer alongside our sales teams.

You will consult on data center, edge, core, cloud, security, collaboration, and services, and design tailored infrastructure solutions while engaging CIOs and IT leaders to drive account growth from remote California.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in complex Data Center sales opportunities.
• Ability to design data center infrastructures including hybrid cloud, SDDC, automation and containerization.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies and data center management platforms.
• Ability to communicate and sell complex technical products with a clear value proposition.
• Experience with mainstream technologies listed: Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, Nutanix.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with account teams to evaluate customer data center environments.
• Design and propose tailored infrastructure solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Build and maintain relationships with OEMs and partners and stay updated on product info.
• Provide product training and technical education to sales teams and customers.
• Act as a trusted IT advisor, partnering with Field Account Executives.
• Develop strategies for top prospects and acquire new business.
• Identify opportunities in Data Center, Cloud, Network, Security, Collaboration, and Services.
• Develop solutions that fit budgets and needs through strategic planning.
• Engage with CIOs, IT Directors, and CTOs for comprehensive account management.
• Educate sales teams on technical selling, services, and tech trends.
