Rolls-Royce is seeking a Field Service Technician – Power Generation to perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of diesel and gas power generation equipment. The role involves frequent travel to customer locations to ensure safe, reliable operation and effective service delivery.

Qualified candidates will have two years of trade school plus three years in field service (or 5+ years without degree) and experience with MTU engines and engine diagnostics.

Qualifications

• 2 years of mechanical or technical trade school plus 3 years of field service with mechanical or electrical troubleshooting experience.
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of field service experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of diesel and gaseous power generation equipment, including engines, generator sets, and control systems.
• Commission, start up, operate, and test generator set systems while documenting performance data and facilitating issue resolution.
• Travel up to 60-80% to customer sites, including industrial facilities, utilities, data centers, and critical power sites; occasional international travel.
• Inspect equipment and failed components, document findings, maintain service records, and support root cause analysis to improve reliability.
• Provide technical support to customers and service teams by promoting safe operation and clear recommendations.
