Job summary

Rolls-Royce Corporation is seeking a Sr. Field Service Commissioning Technician for Gas Systems to diagnose, repair, and commission generator sets in field environments.

The role requires extensive travel (75–100%), strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, and leadership in project coordination. The candidate will perform start-ups, review commissioning requirements, and interact professionally with customers, while leveraging diagnostic software and standard MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Two years mechanical trade school or Associate's Degree with 7+ years field service experience, or 9 years with gaseous systems.
• Travel 75%–100% domestically and internationally.
• Experience with gaseous powered systems and complex genset controls.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair generator set systems in field environments.
• Perform complex power generation system commissioning and start ups.
• Schedule and estimate work completion for gas, electrical, and commissioning of generator systems.
• Review commissioning requirements to meet customer expectations.
• Collaborate with other manufacturers and trades to complete projects.
• Lead projects, directing resources and personnel.
