Job summary

Rolls‑Royce Power Systems is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to oversee complex field service tasks across North America and beyond. You will lead troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of mtu engines and propulsion systems at customer sites, operating with high autonomy.

The role requires extensive mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, along with the ability to manage timelines, parts, and vendor coordination while mentoring junior staff and contributing to service

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency; able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• 2+ years of mechanical or technical training or related field experience for field-service roles.
• Extensive experience with large diesel engines, propulsion systems, and electronic controls.

Responsibilities

• Travel 70–100% domestically and internationally to customer sites.
• Lead field service execution: service, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mtu engines and propulsion systems.
• Plan jobs, coordinate vendors, and maintain logs and documentation.
• Mentor junior service personnel and contribute to product development and service manuals.
